Safety City is operated by the City of Lubbock Parks and Recreation Department.
Safety City is a unique kid-sized town where school age children learn hands-on the rules of pedestrian, bicycle and traffic safety. More than 6,000 kids go through the program each year.
Safety City has expanded its program to include seat belt education and hosting on-site Safety Fairs that attract area hospitals and safety organizations. But we offer much more through our special programs and services. Come join us!
Open Recreation
Kids can come out and skate or ride their bike at Safety City.

Field Trips and Tours
Groups who may be interested in a future safety class can tour the facility by contacting Safety City and scheduling an appointment.
Children learn about car, bike and pedestrian safety according to age. Great for scout troops and church groups!
COST:
$4 per child.
Birthday Parties
Safety City can be rented for private birthday parties during the summer. We provide "Goody Bags," supervision and playtime.
Up to 10 children: $100 for the group.
Each additional child $7.50 each.
Safety City Special Needs Programs
Safety City has just acquired equipment for special needs children. Instruction, bike riding, and go-karts available. Call (806) 767-2712 to schedule!
Safety City Bicycle Lessons
Need help learning to ride your bicycle? Staff at Safety City will help you learn, plus teach you all the safety issues that go along with riding your bike! 5-30 minute lessons, plus we provide a helmet you keep at the end of the lesson. $40, call (806) 767-2712 to schedule!
